We often hear advertisements promoting "high modulus carbon fiber" everywhere, but in reality, it is not suitable for seatposts because it makes them overly stiff and less comfortable than expected. By appropriately using high-strength carbon fiber instead of high-modulus carbon fiber, we can maintain strength while also optimizing comfort. Additionally, 3D-printed titanium alloy components can achieve shapes that CNC machining cannot, thereby reducing weight without compromising strength.

The EXS Airank is a lightweight carbon fiber seatpost engineered specifically for the Specialized Tarmac SL8 and SL9 frame interface. It combines a high-strength (not high-modulus) carbon layup with 3D-printed titanium alloy hardware, aiming for a balance of low weight, ride comfort, and durability rather than maximum stiffness alone.
